We talked with the bartender who told us that the department of health had come by and warned them about the new smoking policy. They tried to get around it every way they could but they were forced to change in the end. It seems the bartenders and owners are just as upset about this new policy as we are, and I have never seen the bar as empty as it was last night. So I don't think we should blame the bar so much as we should blame the health department for making an outdoor bar conform to new, ridiculous rules.
